These sessions are for young people who are struggling to attend the traditional school system. The child/ young person can be attending partial hours of school or home educating as a result of traumatic school experiences. These sessions offer a safe outdoor space for ages 5-16 who have recently or are currently experiencing difficulties accessing school, whatever that might look like in the individual's case.
These sessions are not drop off and require that a parent/ carer stays on site with the child/ren. Places are limited so please fill out the Nature Net Referral Form below. We will be in touch to confirm your place.

GREEN DEMENTIA
We're developing a nature-based, therapeutic program specifically designed for people living with dementia and their family carers. Using the "Elders in the Woods" framework, the project aims to reduce social isolation, improve emotional well-being, and provide high quality sensory engagement through outdoor activity.
We would love to hear from you to help inform our project planning!
This is for anyone who cares for someone living with dementia, is themselves affected and/ or works in a care home or day centre for example.
Step out for a weekend of unplugging and connecting with your young Wildling(s), yourself, a supportive community and with nature! You can attend both Spring and Autumn weekends.
These weekend Resets have a focus on parent-child/ren relationships, especially regarding the pre-teen and teenage years (9 yrs and above). Younger siblings can come too but they must be at least 5 years old.
There are separate weekends for MALE CAREGIVER (Dads, Grandfathers, etc) as well as FEMALE CAREGIVERS (Mums, Grandmothers, etc). Please fill in the relevant forms.
Save the dates:
DADS & Kids MAY 9th-10th & SEPTEMBER 12th-13th
MUMS & Kids MAY 30th-31st & OCTOBER 3rd-4th
These weekends will take place in a private woodland in the North East lead by 3 of our Wildside team, including outdoor practicing therapists. Every practitioner has their full outdoor and paediatric 1st Aid, Food Hygiene, up to date enhanced DBS certificate and are part of the relevant professional bodies.
What to expect: one night sleepover in a tent, communal campfire cooked meals by our team, walks and group activities, bushcraft and nature-connection, mindfulness and yoga!
You will be wild camping under the guidance of the Wildside team in a private woodland near Newcastle. There will be two tents equipped with very basic camping toilets (bucket, bag, sawdust) or you can bury your waste as outlined by the woodland owners.
The grounds are uneven, dirt tracks, potentially quite boggy, and will require a stretch of walking/ hopping/ swinging through the branches. Please keep this in mind when filling out your form. A level of basic fitness and mobility is required for these weekends.
Places are very limited so please register your interest using the appropriate form. We will then get in touch with you directly to confirm your place and with further details, location, kit list, including how we can support with this if needed.
